On the shores of Lake Zell and linked with the resort of Kaprun, picturesque Zell Am See is a lively, cosmopolitan resort that helps form part of the Europa Sport Region. The small town is packed with charm and offers a good range of shops, bars and cafes in the traffic-free centre.
The slopes are varied and have a lot to offer, first-timers through to experts and snowboarders are well catered for too with a half pipe and fun park available. For beginners there is an excellent ski school with gentle slopes to progress to. It's the intermediates that are most catered for on a ski holiday in Zell Am See as there is glacier skiing, wide open slopes and a scary red run on Schmittenhohe.
After all the excitement of the slopes there is even more action available in the form of skating, squash, swimming and tennis among others. Ski holidays in Zell Am See offer a nightlife that is exciting and lively; there are numerous cafes, bars and discos in which to dance the night away.
