Holidays to Nessebur

Nessebar is an ancient city on the Black sea coast of Bulgaria - it's been a popular holiday destination since the early 20th century and remains a charming introduction to holidaying in the country.

Cheap flights have been broadening our horizon over the years, and this part of the world certainly deserves to be better known. If beaches are your thing - well, they are quite beautiful, but if you can drag yourself away you'll find a town with a rich and attractive architectural heritage. Unesco named it a World HeritageSite. 

Someone once commented that the town had more churches per capita than any other and though this may be an exaggeration there are certainly plenty of lovely examples.

Another `must see` are the wooden houses in the old part of town - separated, on their own `island`, by a narrow man-made isthmus.

Gaining in popularity with British visitors all the time but still a good value destination, Nessebur would make a fine family holiday destination.
