For a more relaxing time on your holiday to the Costa Blanca, there are some wonderfully picturesque coastal towns just north of Benidorm. Calpe and tranquil Albir are the perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of larger resorts.

Altea, with its traditional cobbled streets and Spanish charm is also a highlight of the region and ideal for a romantic getaway. Also waiting to be discovered is the charismatic medieval town Javea, which enjoys access to 15 miles of gloriously sandy coastline.

Historic Alicante...

The sun-bleached white sands and the ever-popular resort of Benidorm are the two things most commonly associated with a Costa Blanca holiday. However the region is also steeped in history and culture. Particularly in the beautiful city of Alicante with its whitewashed buildings, tree-lined boulevards and ancient churches and forts. Alicante is home to a stunning 7km long beach and many fashionable boutiques.
