Home of the famous composer Strauss, the waltz and the Boys Choir Vienna is rich in Baroque art and architecture. Discover the city in a horse-drawn carriage or sample the famous Sachertorte and delicious strudels at an open air café. Further afield the wine taverns of Grinzing and the legendary Vienna Woods are alternative attractions to Vienna's beautiful music and laughter. Vienna is an outstanding city for architecture and culture and houses several of the world's best museums including the Musuems' Quarter, National Gallery of Art and the Museums devoted to Mozart, Beethoven and Schubert (most museums close Monday). The fabulous Albertina has re-opened with outstanding traditional and contemporary pieces! Spend time exploring the impressive St Stephan's Cathedral, Karlskirche and magnificent Schönbrunn Palace with its extensive garden. Hear the Vienna Boys Choir sing in the Imperial Chapel of the Hofburg Palace at 0915 Mass every Sun (except Jul and Aug) - tickets are on sale on Friday evenings. See the city in style by horse and carriage which will whisk you through the delights of the cobbled old town. Christmas is an unforgettable experience in Vienna and from mid-November, the Christmas markets are truly delightful. The legendary Vienna Woods are alternative attractions to Vienna's beautiful music and laughter. For evening entertainment, visit the Prater Park and enjoy a ride on the giant ferris wheel or take an excursion to Grinzing where you can sample local food and wine whilst enjoying the atmosphere of its taverns
