Climb the TV tower for excellent views across the city - on a good day you can even see Cologne! The Goethe-Museum dedicated to the life and work of the famous poet is one of the many cultural attractions Dusseldorf has to offer. Renowned as Germany's fashion capital, shopping along Königsallee's 1km of malls and boutiques or down Schadowstrasse is great fun. For bargins try the flea market at Aachenerplatz (every Saturday) and for Christmas shopping the markets take place daily end Nov-22 Dec (approx.) at Schadowplatz and Marktplatz. After a busy day sightseeing stroll around the Old Town and choose out of 260 bars to sit down and enjoy a glass of the local beer, Altbier.
