- Overview
The Seychelles is a beautiful archipelago of 115 tranquil islands and islets, scattered like jewels across the translucent blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Spectacular tropical mountain scenery, deserted white sand beaches, hidden coves, a nature lover's delight and the luxury of endless time. The Seychelles - as pure as it gets.
Spectacular golden beaches
With some of the most spectacular beaches in the world, the Seychelles offer the opportunity
for everyone's winter fantasy of white sand arcs, translucent blue water and languid palms to
be realised. There are hundreds of secluded coves and the clear waters and fringing coral reefs
simply provide some of the world's best snorkelling and diving. Fishing fans can join a
deep-sea fishing trip from the islands of Denis, Bird, Alphonse and Desroches where the catch
may include tuna or marlin.
A chance to explore
In addition Beau Vallon Bay, Mahe's main tourist area offers visitors a range of watersports
from windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving, paragliding and water-skiing. Walkers can explore the
dramatic forested hills of Mahe which has many trails of varying length and difficulty
including the route to the top of Morne Seychellois, the highest peak on the island and home to
the world's smallest species of tree frog. Understand the islands colonial heritage with a
visit to diminutive Victoria, reputedly the smallest capital in the world with it's statue of
Queen Victoria and scaled down version of Big Ben referred to as "Little Ben" by the
locals.
