Situated on the eastern coast of Fuerteventura, Costa Caleta is a relaxing modern Fuerteventura resort. A safe, sheltered beach skirting a wide horseshoe bay is the focal point of this modern, expanding resort. Other activities focus around the harbour and the El Castillo Commercial Centre.
Protected from the full force of the Atlantic, this deep curve of golden sand is popular with families. It also provides excellent conditions for watersports, especially diving. If you are new to the sport and would like some instruction, have a word with your rep about lessons at one of the local schools offering tuition for diving and surfing.
There are also numerous shops and a selection of cafes and restaurants to keep you entertained. However, if you'd like to get out and about, the central location of Costa Caleta makes it an ideal base from which to hire a car and explore the rest of the island. It's also only 20 minutes from the airport, meaning that your transfer time is very short. However, this does mean that there may be some aircraft noise between 8am and midnight.
