Two small modern resorts nestling in the scenic area between the Vanoise and Ecrins national parks. The ski areas are connected, offering some 150km of runs on four massifs, including an international Super-G trail.

Apres is liveliest around the local bars and couple of nightclubs in Valloire where there's also a fitness centre, sauna, steam room, bowling alley and skating rink (conditions permitting). Valmeinier is a quieter resort more suited to the dedicated skier looking for challenging pistes during the day and relaxing, peaceful evenings.
