Beaches

The main beach on your Cala Blanca holiday is a short walk from the town and consists of a wide expanse of powdery white sand and shallow water. There are a couple more smaller sand and shingle beaches that are a little quieter, which you can reach by walking round the snaking coastline. The sea coves and limestone cliffs are great for exploring and diving is extremely popular in nearby Sa Caleta and Cala Santandria, which has a top-notch diving school. Son Xoriguer has a great range of watersports, including canoeing, sailing and waterskiing.

Places to see

The captivating city of Ciutadella is only 5kms away from Cala Blanca, where you can explore the attractive harbour and see the amazing Naveda Des Tudons on the road from Mao to Ciutadella - ancient burial monuments constructed by the native inhabitants of the island of Menorca. Nature lovers will enjoy rambling around during their holiday in Cala Blanca, set on the lush western coast.

Eating Out

The seafront is where you will find most of the restaurants and bars on your holiday to Cala Blanca. Key West is a great place for all the family on a Menorca holiday. They have a range of local and international dishes, an open-air barbeque with a large swimming pool in the grounds too! For something special, visit Es Caliu on the road between Ciutadella and Cala'n Bosch. It's a great rustic restaurant with excellent hams, hung by the chef daily, charcoal-grilled meats and a good selection of tapas.

Shopping

There is a good pedestrianised shopping centre in Cala Blanca, where you'll find a wide range of shops selling you everything you'll need for your holiday in Menorca. There are a lot of shops that Brits will find familiar, such as a SPAR shop and UK-branded sports goods, clothes and accessories. Ciutadella has some great markets and jewellery shops where you can pick up unique mementoes from your Cala Blanca holiday.

Nightlife

Most of the nightlife on your Cala Blanca holiday is based in the hotels, which stage different entertainment options every night - be it karaoke, cabaret or live music shows. Outside the all-inclusive hotels, Moonlight in Avinguda Cala Blanca is a great spot to sip cocktails, watching the sun set over a tiny cove. Nearby Cala Santa is the place to find a greater variety of nightlife geared towards international tourists - you'll find larger bars and discos here, playing a range of current tunes as well as club classics.
