Beaches

Cala'n Forcat is just one of several little beach resorts along this coast of Menorca. You can literally walk from one spot to another to find your favourite place. Cala'n Forcat consists mostly of bays with soft, inviting sands, but if you wander up the coast you'll find Cales Piques, equally as sandy but a little quieter, and in the opposite direction, the palm tree-backed Cala'n Blanes. There are little spots where you can undertake watersports activities, including diving and windsurfing. Cala'n Brut has a deep inlet, making it ideal for those that enjoy fishing and diving on their Menorca holiday.

Places to see

Aquapark in Avinguda de los Delfines is a great place to take the kids on a family holiday to Menorca, or you can travel inland and watch the trotting races at Ciutadella's racetrack. On the Mao (Mahon) to Ciutadella road, you'll find an architectural attraction unique to Menorca - a Naveta - which is an ancient burial monument that the original natives of the island constructed.

Eating Out

Whether you want traditional Menorcan cuisine or a more international menu, you are bound to find it around Cala'n Forcat's winding streets and promenade. Cuore has a good mix of pizzas, pastas, grilled meats and Spanish and international food, or go to Sa Caldereta if you are on a family holiday to Cala'n Forcat, as they have Menorcan food with a separate children's menu. El Patio is in a wonderful setting, looking out to sea, with a great choice of seafood.

Shopping

Cala'n Forcat has a good supermarket where you can get all the supplies you need if you are on a family holiday to Menorca, and around the resort you'll find plenty of places to pick up souvenirs and other sundries such as beachwear and jewellery. Los Delfines has a larger range of craft and souvenir shops, and Ciutadella is the place to go for serious shopping - with its boutiques and malls.

Nightlife

There are plenty of bars to choose from in the centre and by the waterfront of Cala'n Forcat, but none of them go particularly wild at night. You will still find a good range of low-key live music, karaoke, DJs and shows, however. There is a good disco and lively clientele at Jimmy Hills 2 Australian Bar. Ciutadella's harbour really lights up at night, so this is the place to go for some livelier nightlife on your holiday in Cala'n Forcat.
