As soon as you set foot in The Big Apple you feel like you've been there before because New York city breaks really are like walking onto a movie set. And with hostels, hotels and apartments across the city, you're guaranteed to benefit from competitive prices and last minute deals.

Every step you take in New York, you'll see something recognisable - The Statue of Liberty, Central Park, The Empire State Building - the list of landmarks in this relatively small city seems endless, and it's almost impossible to fit each one in. It also has a plethora of museums and galleries to occupy your time, such as the Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) while theatre fans should follow the bright lights of Broadway where you'll find a vast selection of shows to choose from.

But as well as the central sights, New York's neighbourhoods are great if you're looking for a more relaxed New York experience.
