The main social hub of the city is the famous Wenceslas Square in the 'New Town'. More a boulevard than square, it's the main shopping area and centre of evening and nocturnal activities. Here, you'll find fashionable boutiques, excellent restaurants, bars and nightspots where you can sample the famously good Czech beer, which is even more famously - very cheap! Elsewhere, the pretty café-filled squares are where you'll find locals taking lunch and it's here you'll get the chance to experience some customary Czech delicacies.

Legendary nightlife...

Although often associated with stag-dos and hen parties, the nightlife you'll discover on your Prague holiday is far more varied than that. Undeniably it has its wild side with a huge range of modern nightclubs with top international DJs playing to revellers from all over Europe. Although you'll find many smoky jazz cellars, rooftop cocktail bars, casinos and live music venues too. This is a city well-equipped to enjoy itself.

For an old-fashioned experience you can head to a traditional beer hall where amber-coloured Czech lager flows freely from the taps. Or check out the charming wood-panelled pubs hidden among the medieval streets, where locals can be found relaxing in the summer beer gardens.
