Discover the capital and cultural hub of Poland on a memorable holiday to Warsaw
GENERAL
The capital of Poland and without a doubt the cultural epicentre, Warsaw is one of Eastern Europe's great cities. Enjoy a holiday to Warsaw and you'll find a thriving, dynamic and modern city with a wealth of cultural and historic attractions, a world-class arts scene and the liveliest nightlife in Poland.
The beautiful Old Town is arguably the most popular place to visit on holidays to Warsaw. Rebuilt after WWII, the Unesco World Heritage Market Square is a wonderful blend of architectural styles including Baroque, Renaissance and Gothic. The atmospheric streets act as the bustling social hub of the city and house numerous charming cafés, shops, restaurants and galleries.
There are various must-see attractions in and around the Old Town including the majestic 17th century Royal Palace, St John's Cathedral and the Warsaw Citadel.
A city of impressive cultural standing, there are many excellent museums and galleries for you to enjoy on a holiday to Warsaw. Highlights include the National Museum, housing an 800,000-strong international art collection; the Warsaw Uprising Museum, telling the story of the city's uprising during WWII and the Warsaw Historical Museum.
Warsaw's nightlife is one of the best in the region and certainly the most vibrant in Poland. Clubbing holidays to Warsaw are really popular and the city has it all - a myriad of ultra-hip lounge bars, cosy drinking dens, bangin' dance clubs attracting top international DJs, sunny outdoor areas, lively gig venues, boisterous backpacker bars and art cafés. With a youthful, buzzing and friendly atmosphere, Warsaw offers one of the best nights out in Eastern Europe.
If you had a different kind of evening in mind, Warsaw is also home to the National Philharmonic and the National Opera, as well as several celebrated theatres.
